Supply Chain Management Officer [2] - AN- Scale -KMTC 8 - 10 Posts at Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC)

Duties and responsibilities at this level will involve undertaking market research, surveys and analyses; implementing procurement plans and processing purchase requisitions; participating in sourcing, supplier evaluation/rating, inviting offers, negotiations and contracting; drafting of procurement and disposal plans and budgets; drafting bid awards and tender advertisement notices; drafting letters of notification after the tender evaluation; preparing minutes for tender opening exercise and submit to tender evaluation committee; identifying demand, planning and procurement of the items required by the user department; conducting inspection and verification of the items received by the relevant committee; verifying payment documents for goods, works and services delivered/rendered to the College by suppliers and other service providers; and updating contract details in government portals and College websites.

For appointment to this level a candidate must have:


Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Supply Chain Management, Commerce (Supplies Management option), Procurement and logistics or its equivalent qualification from a recognised institution;
Membership of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) or Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies (CIPS) and in good standing; and
Proficiency in computer applications.
