JOB PURPOSE

Carrying out specific supply works regarding his qualifications, according to INTERSOS procedures and his superior's instructions, to contribute to the procurement process of the relevant base, such as preparing contracts, gathering quotations, and suppliers pre-qualifying. Assist in preparing monthly reports related to supply and procurement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Logistics Tasks

  • Assist the procurement procedures (contracts, quotations, appraisals of quality and price) for goods and services in respect of INTERSOS and donor requirements
  • Facilitate the negotiation with local purchasers and maintain good relationships with suppliers
  • Run market assessments and update the pre-qualified supplier's lists
  • Update all the supplier files and ensure all formation related to the supplier has been fully updated on the IMP
  • Assist the Country Supply Manager and Base Logistics Officers in following up on the payments of all suppliers and collecting all the necessary supporting documents from them i.e. receipts and delivery notes
  • Ensure before any payment is made all originals are in the coordination office
  • Support the Supply Manager or Country Logistics Coordinator/Manager in ensuring that all procurements are completed on IMP and all necessary documents are uploaded and properly archived in the finance department
  • Collaborate for the preparation of the monthly logistics report
  • Perform tasks delegated to him

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education & Professional experience

  • 2 years of proven experience in managing supply and purchasing activities in NGOs.
  • Previous experience working in INGOs is highly desirable.

Professional requirements

  • Good knowledge of procurement processes
  • Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet)
  • Driving licence issued more than one year
