We are seeking a Swimming Academy Lead Coach to oversee U9 - U17 swimmers. The coach will develop a performance-driven programme that integrates technical skill development, strength & conditioning, endurance training, and competition preparation with academic flexibility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute a structured swimming curriculum with age-appropriate benchmarks.
Lead weekly sessions, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, across term and holiday periods.
Track swimmer progress with metrics, timed trials, video analysis, and termly performance reports.
Prepare swimmers for regional, national, and international competitions.
Promote a professional academy culture emphasising discipline, resilience, and teamwork.
Coordinate with academic tutors to ensure student-athletes meet academic expectations.
Collaborate with physiotherapists, nutritionists, psychologists, and sports scientists for holistic athlete support.
Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety standards are fully implemented.
SUCCESS INDICATORS (KPI'S)
Measurable improvement in technical skill, endurance, and starts per term.
Participation in ≥3 regional or national swimming competitions annually.
High retention rates with target enrolment of 50 swimmers in Year 1.
≥90% of swimmers meet academic targets.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Recognised swimming coaching qualification (Kenya Swimming Federation / World Aquatics / ASA).
Lifesaving and first aid certification.
Minimum 3 years' experience coaching in a structured swimming academy.
Proven experience coaching school-age athletes for competitive pathways.
Flexible to conduct early morning, evening, and weekend sessions.
