Role Overview


Lytup Power Systems Inc. is scaling rapidly, moving from standalone battery products toward fully integrated electrical energy systems supported by intelligent software, device connectivity, and edge computing.
We are seeking a System Engineer with strong experience in systems programming, networking, Linux environments, and containerization technologies.
This role focuses on building and maintaining the systemlevel software that powers Lytup's connected energy platforms, including hardware communication, backend services, and custom Linuxbased OS.
You will work closely with Lytup's engineering team to develop, deploy, and maintain systemlevel software that supports both product development and field deployments.


Key Responsibilities


Develop and maintain systemlevel software using Golang and/or other systems programming languages.
Support development of software that enables communication between devices, internal services, and infrastructure.
Work with networking concepts including TCP/IP, OSI model, and IP subnetting.
Support configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of computing device.
Build and package software modules using Docker, Podman, RPM, or similar container technologies.
Work extensively with Linuxbased systems used in development and production.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux environments.
Support deployment of software on edge computing devices such as Raspberry Pi and similar platforms.
Assist in integrating system software with hardware and device communication protocols.


Required Experience & Skills


Proficiency in Golang and another system programming language.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, OSI model, and IP subnet classification.
Experience working with Docker, Podman, RPM, and similar container technologies.
Strong working knowledge of the Linux operating system.


Professional Background


Minimum five (5) years of experience in system engineering


Nice to Have


Experience with Raspberry Pi or embedded Linux devices.
Experience working with lowlevel computing communication protocols.
