Duties
Develop and implement ICT policies for strategic library leadership.
Lead section planning to fulfill library mission.
Conduct performance reviews for professional service.
Administer library committees to design policies.
Design and implement digital systems for optimal operations.
Support staff and patrons in system usage.
Manage disaster recovery plans for system security.
Test and implement system upgrades and installations.
Provide input for departmental budget allocation.
Administer integrated library systems for service delivery.
Extract management data for decision-making.
Collaborate on implementing technologies for service improvement.
Develop training and documentation for efficient software use.
Provide input for departmental budget allocation.
Required Qualifications and Competencies
For appointment to this grade, one MUST have:
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in library and information studies (IT Option) or related field.
Be registered to a professional body.
Proficiency in library management systems design and implementation.
Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the 2010 Constitution of Kenya.
