Role Summary


As a Talent Management Specialist, you'll provide hands-on support for people operations and employee relations, helping apply policies, processes, and employment practices consistently. You'll work closely with the Global Talent Team and Finance Team, supporting fair and objective case management and day-to-day HR operations, and escalating complex or sensitive matters to senior team members or the Head of Talent. Responsibilities:

Employee Relations Support

Support the management of employee relations matters, including:


Disciplinary cases
Investigations
Performance improvement plans
Behavioral and conduct issues
Help ensure fair and consistent handling of cases, escalating complex, high-risk, or legally sensitive matters to senior team members


Manager Support

Provide first-line support to managers on:


Employee relations processes
Performance management procedures
Policy interpretation
Handling employee concerns


Talent lifecycle coordination

Support operational aspects of the employee lifecycle, including:


Onboarding coordination
Performance management processes
Offboarding procedures
Benefits administration support


Compliance and Documentation


Maintain proper documentation for HR cases.
Support compliance with labor regulations and internal policies.
Support audits and reporting requirements.


Culture and Engagement Initiatives

Support delivery of:


Employee recognition programs
Engagement initiatives
Local culture and team events
Global or regional talent initiatives


Requirements

Must-have skills


Employee relations exposure: experience supporting disciplinary cases, investigations, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and workplace grievances with fairness and consistency.
Knowledge of Kenyan labor law: working knowledge of the Employment Act, 2007 and ability to apply it in real workplace scenarios.
Stakeholder management: ability to support and inform managers on employee relations matters, performance management, and policy interpretation.
Investigation and analytical skills: able to support investigations by gathering evidence, assisting with interviews, and preparing case documentation under guidance.
Strong communication skills: excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to handle sensitive and high-stakes conversations professionally.
Attention to detail: high level of accuracy in documentation, record-keeping, and compliance tracking.
Integrity and confidentiality: demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment.
Technical proficiency: proficient with G-Suite and HRIS platforms, with an interest in process automation and emerging technologies.
AI literacy: familiarity with LLMs, conversational AI, prompt engineering, and agentic AI concepts to help modernize HR workflows.
Mindset: proactive and detail-oriented, comfortable working within established processes while flagging opportunities for improvement.


Academic And Professional Requirements


Bachelor's degree in human resources, industrial psychology, or a related field required.
CHRP(K) certification preferred, or actively working toward certification.
2 - 4 years in HR, with at least 1 year focused on employee relations or HR operations.


Nice-to-have skills (preferred)


Experience in a global or matrix organization.
Familiarity with HR systems.
Exposure to performance management and employee engagement initiatives.
