Our People function is seeking a Talent, Performance, Organizational Development Manager Africa to join our team, either based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia or Nairobi, Kenya. In this position you will
Proactively influence the design and development of strategic talent and performance management frameworks, tools & solutions that meet business needs
Engage with regional business leaders; stay ahead of key talent market changes, organization strategy and emerging patterns and adapt/evolve the talent management approach accordingly
Define, drive and implement Africa's talent, performance and organizational design and development priorities along with plans and initiatives to build sustainable organizational capabilities.
Anticipate human capital requirements and develop talent sourcing, attraction & retention strategies while continuously focusing on improvements and creative solutions that cultivate a talented and inclusive workforce that meets strategic and operational goals and objectives.
Build a healthy succession plan for critical positions matched by appropriate development plans and solutions
Coach, leads and drives initiatives designed to build leadership, talent and performance management capabilities with People Business Partners and business leaders
Drive the embedding of the performance management principles at all levels to ensure integration of individual and business performance
Provide specialist support for each area's change projects to ensure systemic implementation of Organizational change initiatives, and shares learnings across the region
Supports the People Director Africa and leadership team to achieve the desired shift in culture through coordinated OD initiatives and touch points with other parts of People (PBPs, Rewards, IR)
Provide specialist OD guidance to senior leaders on strategic projects and challenges in each area
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards in all talent sourcing as well as people development activities.
About you
To be successful in this role you would need:
+6 years of relevant work experience of which at least 3 years of experience in a senior leadership role in people & Culture scope.
Bachelor's Degree, with HR qualification or Master's degree in Business, Social & Behavioural Sciences
Expertise in performance management, talent management, succession planning & development planning processes; identifying and implementing initiatives to build talent pipelines (internal and external).
Proficiency in leading regional OD priorities and plans, to enable implementation of regional change initiatives and capability building.
Proven experience in creating, sourcing and implementing a broad range of pragmatic, innovative development solutions for all levels of leader, up to and including senior management level, in fast paced, customer centric environments - ideally at a regional level.
Excellent leadership, coaching, and team management abilities.
