Role Summary
The Tax and Audit Lead will oversee all aspects of tax compliance and audit processes.
The successful candidate will ensure all tax obligations are met while identifying strategic opportunities for tax savings.
This role will lead internal audit engagements to ensure accuracy and compliance with both regulatory requirements and company standards.
Key Responsibilties
Manage and oversee tax compliance, including preparation and review of tax returns.
Ensure appropriate tax deductions and timely remittance from vendors.
Lead internal audit engagements, including planning, execution, and reporting phases.
Review financial statements and ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles and regulatory standards.
Serve as the primary point of contact for tax-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
Develop and maintain good relationships, providing tax related advice to internal and external stakeholders.
Manage all correspondence with all regulatory bodies E.g. LIRS, FIRS.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
CITN membership is required, along with any other relevant accounting certifications.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of professional experience in tax and audit functions.
Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to apply them to complex situations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
