Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of Business Developers (BDs) to achieve merchant acquisition and retention targets.
Develop and implement strategies to drive merchant onboarding, activation, transaction growth, and revenue generation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key merchants and business partners.
Oversee the performance and engagement of existing merchants to drive high activity and reduce churn.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for expansion and improvement in merchant services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Product, Risk, Marketing) to ensure a seamless merchant experience.
Track KPIs, prepare performance reports, and provide insights for business growth and market penetration.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and operational standards.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or any related field.
3+ years' experience in fintech, payments, merchant acquisition, agent banking, or FMCG field sales.
Strong understanding of the merchant value chain, POS business, and digital payments ecosystem.
Proven track record in managing sales teams and achieving revenue or acquisition targets.
Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
Experience working with fast-paced, high-growth environments is an added advantage.
