We are seeking a high-caliber Technical Sales Manager to lead the growth of our Poultry equipment portfolio. This is a strategic role for a "Solution Seller" who understands that poultry equipment is an investment, not just a purchase. You will be responsible for identifying large-scale commercial farm projects, consulting on house designs, and closing multi-million naira deals for automated cage systems, floor feeding, and climate control technologies.
Job Details
Project Sourcing: Identify and engage with high-net-worth investors and commercial poultry farmers planning expansion or modernization.
Technical Consulting: Conduct site visits to advise clients on house dimensions, ventilation requirements, and the best Big Dutchman systems for their specific bird types (Layers/Broilers).
Quotation & Design: Collaborate with the engineering team to prepare technical drawings and comprehensive project quotes for turnkey installations.
Deal Closing: Manage long-cycle sales processes, from initial technical presentation to final contract signing and payment.
After-Sales Liaison: Work with the installation team to ensure projects are delivered to specification and provide high-level relationship management post-installation.
Requirements
Education: B.Sc/HND in Animal Science, Agricultural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. An MBA is a plus.
Experience: 5 - 8 years of B2B sales experience, with at least 3 years in Agricultural Equipment or Construction/Industrial Machinery.
Technical Literacy: Ability to interpret technical drawings and explain the mechanics of automated feeding, egg collection, and climate control systems.
Sales Prowess: Proven track record of managing "long-cycle" sales (3 - 12 months) and closing high-value capital expenditure (CAPEX) deals.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to calculate and present ROI (Return on Investment) to potential clients based on feed conversion ratios and labor savings.
