Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable, detailed, and proactive Technical Support Officer to manage and support the day-to-day IT/technical operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will maintain hardware, software, training, and network systems; provide technical support to staff and customers; ensure data security; and keep technology operations running smoothly across departments while maintaining a high level of information security.

Key Responsibilities:


Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
Monitor and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, internet, and email systems.
Provide first-line support to staff and customers on hardware and software-related issues.
Troubleshoot system and network problems and diagnose and solve hardware/software faults.
On-site installation, set-up, support, and delivery of hardware and software to the client
Respond to and log calls, escalating calls as required with key support vendors and clients
Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes, and maintenance schedule.
Provide one-on-one training when required
Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems.
Set up new user accounts and profiles, and address password issues.
Manage software licenses and updates, and ensure compliance with IT policies.
Recommend and implement improvements to IT systems and processes.
Liaise with IT vendors and service providers to ensure timely support and maintenance.


Requirements:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar IT support or systems administration role.
Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, operating systems (Windows/Mac), and networks (LAN/WAN).
Experience with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, antivirus, and backup solutions.
Knowledge of basic cybersecurity practices and data protection principles.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Experience with ERPs or business management systems.
Basic knowledge of web and server administration.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are an added advantage.
Professional fluency in English is essential, both written and spoken.
Successful candidate MUST be available to resume immediately.
