Job Summary
The Telecoms Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the design, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of telecommunications systems across onshore, offshore, FPSO, and rig facilities.
The role ensures high system availability, supports telecom projects, supervises contractors, and delivers reliable communication infrastructure in line with company standards.

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure maximum system availability.
Diagnose and resolve telecom system faults and operational issues.
Engineering & Project Management:
Engineering& Technology
Perform engineering studies for telecom system design, installation, upgrades, and standardization.
Develop technical specifications, scopes of work, and engineering documentation.
Prepare technical dossiers for RFQs and contractor engagement.
Evaluate technical bids and recommend suitable vendors.
Supervise telecom projects from installation through commissioning.
Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), commissioning, and punch-list closeout.
Contractor & Vendor Management:
Supervise telecom contractors and offshore specialists.
Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with company standards.
Coordinate material inspections and respond to supplier technical queries.
Support service contract administration and annual maintenance contracts.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
Prepare technical reports, engineering documentation, and maintenance records.
Support development of the 5-year telecom work program.
Monitor equipment lifecycle and recommend upgrades or replacement of obsolete systems.
Recommend improvements to telecom reliability, maintenance processes, and spare parts management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
High availability and reliability of telecom systems.
Timely delivery of telecom projects within budget.
Compliance with operational service level agreements (SLAs).
Timely submission of technical reports and documentation.
Effective contractor performance and maintenance delivery.
Requirements
Education:
B.Sc. (Minimum Second Class Lower) or HND (Distinction) in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
Engineering& Technology
Experience:
Minimum 15 years' experience in enterprise data networking and operational project management.
Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in telecommunications or network engineering, operations, and maintenance.
Experience supporting telecom infrastructure in the Oil & Gas industry is highly desirable.
