Key performance areas
Perform teaching duties across EMS, Geography, and Grade 10 Business Studies, including planning lessons and tracking academic growth.
Set up, implement, monitor, and adjust term plans to accommodate exams, assessments.
Plan and manage the classroom environment, including assessment schedules, disciplinary standards, active engagement strategies, and proactive parent-teacher communication.
Create, moderate, and mark formal and continuous assessments, project work, case studies, and activities aligned with IEB standards.
Support, plan, and manage school extramural activities, sports, and educational outings.
Provide targeted extra lessons and academic support to assist learners in mastering core concepts.
Qualifications, experience and skills
Valid, up-to-date SACE registration.
Relevant tertiary degree and professional teaching qualification
Bilingual: English & Afrikaans
Willingness to contribute to the broader life of the school, including co-curricular commitments and weekend activities.
Familiarity with the IEB curriculum framework is preferred.
Strong subject knowledge in SNR EMS, SNR Geography and FET Business Studies.
Proven ability to guide Grade 10 learners through foundational Business Studies concepts and practical business reporting.
Proficiency in modern educational technology and Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent communication, organisational, and administrative skills.
Clear criminal record.
