The Opportunity
Join us as a Tender & Service Specialist and play a key role in managing the complete lifecycle of service-related projects. This role connects sales and operations—identifying and bidding for engineering service contracts (quotations/tenders) and, once secured, leading the smooth technical execution, resource scheduling, and financial closure of each service order.

Quotations & Tender Management (PreÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂAward)
Sales Support: Assist the Service Sales team with presales preparation.
Technical Scoping: Review RFQs/RFPs to define the Scope of Work, technical specs, and resource needs.
Costing: Prepare cost estimates for labour, materials, subcontractors, and travel.
Bid Preparation: Compile complete tender submissions, ensuring compliance with BÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂBBEE, Tax Clearance, COID, and all technical requirements.
Supplier Coordination: Source and compare quotations for specialized components.

Project KickÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂoff: Convert approved quotations into Service Orders/Job Cards in the ERP system.
Resource Scheduling: Coordinate with the Service Operations Manager to dispatch and schedule field technicians/engineers with the required tools and PPE.
Logistics: Track procurement and delivery timelines to ensure parts are available and downtime is reduced.
Client Communication: Serve as the main contact for client updates, variations, and progress reporting.

WIP Tracking: Monitor Work in Progress to ensure service delivery aligns with quoted margins.
Invoicing: Coordinate Job Card/Timesheet signÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂoff and initiate invoicing after successful commissioning or handover.
Reporting: Maintain the Win/Loss tender register and prepare Execution Efficiency reports for the Service Unit.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal policies, external regulations, HSE requirements, and quality standards.

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
3 - 5 years' experience in an engineering services environment, with demonstrated skill in bid and tender compilation.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics and develop accurate Bills of Quantities (BoQs).
Advanced MS Excel proficiency, plus working knowledge of MS Project and ERP systems (e.g., SAP Ariba).
Familiarity with PPPFA regulations (80/20 and 90/10) and South African BÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂBBEE codes.
Strong deadline management and the ability to switch effectively between salesÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂrelated and logisticsÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂfocused tasks.
Willingness to travel across assigned countries when required.
Proficiency in spoken and written English.
