Test Engineer/ Developer - Midrand /Semi- Remote - R650 per hour

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a talented Test Engineer to join our innovative and dynamic team.

As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and performance of our vehicles through comprehensive testing processes. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge automotive technology in a world-renowned company.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Certifications in relevant testing frameworks or cloud technologies (e.g., ISTQB, Microsoft Azure)
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools
• Familiarity with performance testing and load testing tools
• Proficient in writing system and load tests
• Experience with development languages such as python/C#/Java
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and design
• Familiarity with message queuing systems, such as RabbitMQ
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement comprehensive test plans, including system tests, and load tests
• Automate testing processes to ensure efficient and reliable testing
• Carry out black box testing on existing components
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve issues early in the software development lifecycle
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing processes and frameworks
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve the overall quality and stability of the software
• Stay up to date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies

Reference Number for this position is GZ60172 which is a contract position based in Midrand / Centurion/Semi-Remote offering a contract rate of R650 per hour negotiable on experience and ability.
