Salary scale: R489 970.56 (Post level 6)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12
Relevant tertiary qualification preferably a B-Degree / National Diploma in Architecture / Urban Design or equivalent Planning Degree
Working towards registration as a professional planner / architect / urban designer i.e. candidate member Computer Literacy: MS Office Good human relations, communication and interpersonal skills
The incumbent has to have knowledge and experience in this field as a position must lead and give guidance as well as effect to municipal policy and strategies
2 - 5 years relevant experience required
KEY PERFORMANCES AREAS:
Consistently attain targets and goals as planned Deliver activities and plans as scheduled Establish clear mandate for negotiations
Collect and analyse information from relevant sources to understand the issues and positions of all parties to the negotiation
Set short term and longer term project plans and cascade it to the work team and individual performance objectives
Implement and control the policies and strategies associated with the provision of land use management and settlement planning
Ensure effective spatial planning and land use management (town and regional planning) service to meet the Municipality's objectives
Disseminate functional and operational information on the immediate and current development, problems and constraints
