Job Description
Transport:
Ensure all Drivers and Mechanics fill the log book regularly and ensure all organization's Drivers have valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
Coordinate with all Heads of Departments and Units to determine transport requirement and schedule transport to meet their needs and coordinate the movement of vehicles.
Ensure appropriate use, maintenance and repair of all vehicles and trucks (private or leased), motorcycles and generators and keep accurate documentation of all vehicle document such as vehicle registration, insurance, vehicle logs, daily inspection reports, speed limits, etc.
Act as Liaison Officer between the organization and local government agencies and personnel necessary to keep the organization vehicle fleet legal and road worthy.
Maintain proper inventory of all components of vehicles, making sure they are maintained and inspected frequently and ensure Drivers have an updated license.
Oversee recruitment of new Drivers and conduct driving test in traffic rules and signs.
Act as line manager to all Drivers, evaluate Drivers performance, allocate and rotate appropriate work assignments and develop training programs for all Drivers.
Ensure all vehicles are used in accordance with FRSC rules and regulations and that vehicle usage data is correctly recorded and perform any other related duties when required.
Adhere strictly to company's policies including the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Facility:
Oversee the day-to-day operation of all facility services to ensure that utilities and infrastructure function efficiently and without interruption.
Conduct routine inspections of company premises to identify maintenance needs, safety risks, and environmental concerns, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained workplace.
Manage and ensure proper maintenance, servicing, and protection of company assets, including vehicles, buildings, office equipment, and other operational resources.
Coordinate and supervise facility-related works such as repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance activities by external vendors and internal technical staff.
Respond promptly to unexpected facility breakdowns or operational disruptions, ensuring timely repair, recovery, and minimal impact on business activities.
Monitor and enforce preventive maintenance schedules for critical equipment such as generators, air conditioning systems, and other essential facility infrastructure.
Liaise and negotiate with relevant government agencies and regulatory bodies on matters relating to facility compliance, permits, inspections, and operational requirements.
Carry out other responsibilities assigned to you by the General Manager or Managing Director.
Requirements
Must have a minimum qualification of BSc / HND
Minimum of 3 years of experience.
Must be matured, responsible and well-mannered.
Ability to read and write.
Possession of a valid driver's license and not a learner's permit.
Ability to drive manual vehicles.
Preferably a male.
