Requirements
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Transport Manager to join our team.
Male candidate, 35 years and above.
Atleast 3 years of experience in the transport and logistics industry.
Strong background in fleet management and driver supervision.
Ability to manage, mentor, and guide drivers on operational matters.
Capable of providing technical advice and support in the event of vehicle breakdowns.
Sound knowledge of vehicle mechanics, diagnostics, and maintenance.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in implementing vehicle maintenance schedules and ensuring compliance with transport regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Plan Transport Operations
Schedule vehicle routes and deliveries.
Allocate drivers and vehicles efficiently
Manage Fleet
Oversee vehicle maintenance and servicing.
Ensure vehicles are roadworthy and comply with safety standards.
Monitor fuel consumption and vehicle performance.
Supervise Drivers
Manage drivers.
Prepare work schedules and monitor attendance.
Ensure drivers comply with company policies and traffic regulations.
Ensure Legal Compliance
Maintain compliance with transport laws and regulations.
Ensure valid licenses, permits, insurance, and vehicle documentation.
Monitor compliance with health and safety requirements.
Monitor Transport Costs
Prepare and manage transport budgets.
Control fuel, maintenance, and operating expenses.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Coordinate Logistics
Work with procurement, and customer service team.
Ensure timely collection and delivery of goods.
Resolve transportation delays and operational issues.
Maintain Records
Keep accurate records of vehicle maintenance, fuel usage, mileage, and driver activities.
Prepare transport reports and performance statistics.
Manage Safety and Risk
Implement road safety policies.
Investigate accidents and recommend corrective actions.
Conduct regular safety inspections and driver briefings.
Customer Service
Address customer complaints related to transport.
Ensure deliveries meet customer expectations and agreed timelines.
Performance Monitoring
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times, fuel efficiency, vehicle utilization, and driver performance.
Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
