Responsibilities
Safely operate company trucks to transport goods to specified destinations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal condition.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of vehicle usage.
Adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies while on the road.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse staff to coordinate deliveries.
Assist in loading and unloading of products as required.
Monitor traffic patterns and weather conditions to ensure timely arrivals.
Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
Requirements
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with no major violations.
Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in the warehousing or logistics sector.
Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to driving.
Excellent time-management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to operate heavy machinery and navigate various types of terrain.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
