Responsibilities


Maintenance & Servicing: Perform routine servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, and general lubrication.
Repairs: Execute both minor and major repairs on engines, braking systems, and gearboxes.
Diagnostics: Conduct fault diagnosis and technical troubleshooting to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
Safety & Inspections: Carry out comprehensive truck inspections and safety checks to ensure roadworthiness.
Preventive Care: Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize vehicle downtime.
Technical Repairs: Handle electrical and hydraulic system repairs as required.
Emergency Response: Provide prompt breakdown and emergency roadside assistance.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date service and repair records for the entire fleet.


Requirements


Proven Experience: Demonstrated background working with heavy commercial trucks.
Technical Expertise: Proficient in diesel engine mechanics and modern diagnostic techniques.
Skill Set: Hands-on experience in parts replacement and complex mechanical overhauls.
Certification: A relevant technical certificate or diploma in Automotive Engineering (specifically Heavy Vehicle Option) is a significant advantage.
Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
