Grayson's Trustee Limited is Hiring!!! We are seeking a detail-oriented Trust Accountant to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records for trusts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting fiduciary operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, integrity, and a solid understanding of trust structures and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate accounting records for multiple trust portfolios
Prepare periodic financial statements for trusts in line with applicable standards
Monitor cash flow, income, expenses, and investment transactions within trust accounts
Reconcile trust bank accounts and investment statements regularly
Ensure compliance with Nigerian regulatory requirements and internal policies
Assist in the preparation of reports for trustees, beneficiaries, and regulators
Support tax computations and filings related to trust structures
Liaise with auditors, custodians, and other external stakeholders
Maintain proper documentation of all trust-related transactions
Identify and escalate discrepancies or compliance issues promptly
Requirements
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA, ICAN or any equivalent professional qualifications is required.
KNOWLEDGE & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 - 4 years' relevant experience in accounting, preferably within a trustee firm.
Strong understanding of trust accounting and fiduciary responsibilities
High level of integrity and confidentiality
Attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and reporting skills
Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines efficiently
