Duties and responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Department, the teaching staff will be responsible for:
Teaching areas allocated by the Head of Department.
Delivering high-quality lectures and practical classes.
Overseeing clinical practice, providing students with real-world learning experiences and guidelines in industry settings.
Reviewing course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required.
Collaborating with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes and the development of research activities.
Presenting research papers at national or international conferences and other similar events.
Disseminating research outputs.
Providing mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.
Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
Qualification and experience
Registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral degree qualification and progressing.
Master of Science in Human Anatomy, or a closely related field from a recognised/accredited university.
A Bachelors degree in either Medicine, Surgery, Nursing, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Biomedical Sciences OR any other relevant health sciences degree with a strong anatomy component from a recognised/accredited university.
Registered as a member of Society of Human Anatomy of Kenya.
At least three (3) years of post-qualification work experience, with demonstrable competence in Human Anatomy teaching
Attended and contributed at academic conferences, seminars or workshops.
