About the Role


We are seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Underwriting Administrator to support our underwriting team in a financial lending environment.
This is an entry-level role ideal for a smart, proactive candidate with strong Excel skills and a willingness to learn underwriting processes within loan and credit operations.


Key Responsibilities


Support underwriters with data entry, documentation, and loan file preparation
Maintain and update underwriting trackers and reports using Excel
Conduct basic research on underwriting guidelines, credit policies, and financial products
Review submitted documents for accuracy and completeness
Assist with compliance checks and internal process documentation
Liaise with internal teams to resolve missing or unclear information


Requirements


Minimum of HND/ BSc in any discipline (Finance, Business, Economics is a plus but not required)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, sorting, data validation, basic reporting)
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Willingness and ability to research and quickly learn underwriting concepts in financial services
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
