DRC Uganda is currently looking for a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our dynamic team as URRI Secretariat & Communications Support Officer.
Project Background
The objective of the Uganda Refugee Resilience Initiative (URRI) programme is to enhance climate resilience among women, men, and youth in both refugee and host communities, and to promote inclusive, cohesive, and environmentally sustainable development in refugee-affected areas, aligned with local priorities. URRI is funded by the Royal Danish Embassy in Kampala.
The overall purpose of the role:
The position holder will strengthen the programme’s visibility and ensure smooth delivery of meetings, workshops, and events. The role combines practical coordination and organizational support with hands-on communication and branding work.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
Secretariat Support and Events Management (65%)
Communication, Branding and Visibility (35%)
About you
To be successful in this role, you must have at least 5 years of relevant experience in programme and secretariat coordination, communications, or events management, preferably in development or humanitarian work. Moreover, we also expect the following.
