Role Purpose


The Veterinary & Animal Nutrition Technical Officer will provide practical field support on animal health, nutrition, feed performance and customer complaints.
The role will work closely with Sales, Quality, Production, Nutrition and Operations teams to identify root causes of animal/feed performance issues and recommend practical, customer-focused solutions.


Key Responsibilities


Visit farms and customers to investigate feed, animal health and performance issues.
Provide appropriate feed recommendations for dairy, poultry, swine and other livestock.
Work alongside Sales teams during customer visits, product trials and technical discussions.
Investigate customer complaints and establish potential nutritional, animal-health, feed or farm-management causes.
Collect samples and coordinate investigations with Quality, Laboratory, Production and Nutrition teams.
Prepare comprehensive technical reports with clear findings, conclusions and recommended corrective actions.
Follow up implementation and effectiveness of agreed corrective actions.
Train farmers, customers and Sales teams on feeding practices, animal management and biosecurity.
Provide technical guidance aimed at improving animal performance, product performance and customer satisfaction.
Identify recurring field issues and provide feedback to internal teams for corrective or improvement action.


Requirements
Qualifications & Experience


Degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, Livestock Production or a related discipline.
5 - 7 years' experience within the animal feed industry.
Practical experience working with dairy, poultry and swine is essential.
Good knowledge of animal nutrition, feed ingredients and livestock production.
Relevant Kenyan veterinary or animal nutrition professional registration is required.
Experience handling customer complaints, farm investigations and technical advisory assignments is desirable.
