Job Summary
The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for managing inventory through the accurate receiving, storage, and issuance of stock while ensuring compliance with Warehouse Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) and 6S to maintain an efficient, safe, and organized warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management; receiving and issuing of stocks and ensuring accurate inventory records are maintained, prepare items for dispatch and loading, while adhering to batch management.
Participation in Mombasa warehouse cycle counts and annual stock takes.
Tracking of SLOBs, expired and damaged goods.
Segregation of goods and proper housekeeping of Mombasa warehouse.
Participation and support in Mombasa Warehouse and office EHS and 6s activities.
Has no formal managerial responsibility, but may provide guidance to colleagues (e.g. provides coaching)
Qualifications & Experience
Graduate degree in Supply chain management.
At least 3 years progressive warehouse management experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with inventory management systems.
Experience in operating lifting equipment e.g. stacker or forklift (forklift certification) will be an added advantage.
