The incumbent will collaborate and coordinate with various warehouse units including inbound, outbound and inventory to optimize resources and achieve operational KPIs. They will work closely with the Health and Safety team to maintain cleanliness, orderliness and safety within the work environment, as well as safeguard stock and equipment. Additionally, they will be responsible for accurately picking, packing and dispatching orders on time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Inbound: Verify the correct quantity and type of goods received and move them to their designated areas in the warehouse. Label and scan each item for accurate record-keeping, load and wrap stock securely on pallets and systematically enter all incoming goods data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Outbound: Prepare customer orders for delivery in line with set standards and timelines. Verify item accuracy, including batch numbers and expiry dates and ensure picking bins are replenished promptly. Double-check outgoing orders for proper packaging, labelling and documentation to guarantee safe shipment.
Compliance: Adhere to warehouse policies, SOPs and all applicable regulations including QHSE standards to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. Keep the warehouse tidy, free of debris and organized for efficient operations. Take accountability for goods allocated to you, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage or loss.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Must have at least a certificate of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.
A Diploma/Certificate in storekeeping and management is an advantage.
At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics role.
