Job summary
In this role, the incumbent will actively identify, prospect, and acquire new B2B clients for warehouse and storage services through field sales and relationship management. Focus on securing corporate, e-commerce, and manufacturing accounts for warehousing, cross-docking, fulfillment, and related logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and source B2B leads requiring inventory storage and fulfillment services through networking, prospecting, and cold calling.
Follow up on leads quickly, managing sales turnaround times (TAT) from inquiry to contract.
Conduct site surveys to determine storage profiles, calculate handling costs, and recommend unit dimensions.
Guide prospects through the facility, highlighting security infrastructure, storage features and promoting self-storage units.
Schedule and conduct surveys and accurately calculate costs per job storage and handling.
Partner with finance and warehouse managers to design custom pricing models for storage, handling, and freight.
Negotiate prices, finalize terms, process sales agreements, and ensure timely payment collection.
Drive revenue by cross-selling packing supplies and upselling insurance options for high value goods.
Maintain positive, long-term customer relationships to ensure high-quality service delivery and delightful customer experience.
Brief clients and internal logistics teams before, during, and after physical inventory moves.
Liaise with departments/branches/external stakeholders to coordinate successful inventory logistics and management.
Report regularly on sales wins, pipeline progress, market challenges, and support needs.
Key Skills and Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
2 - 5 years' experience in B2B sales within logistics, freight forwarding, warehousing, or related services.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer focus with consultative selling and needs assessment capabilities.
