JOB SUMMARY
The Store Officer will be responsible for the effective management and control of the company's stores, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, issuance, and documentation of spare parts, tools, equipment, consumables, and other operational materials.
The role will support smooth transport and workshop operations by maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, preventing stock discrepancies, and ensuring that materials are available when required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive, inspect, document, and store spare parts, tools, materials, and consumables.
Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels.
Issue and record stock movements, including receipts, transfers, returns, and usage.
Conduct stock counts, reconcile inventory, and report discrepancies or losses.
Coordinate with Workshop, Fleet/Operations, and Procurement teams on parts and material requirements.
Monitor critical, slow-moving, damaged, and obsolete stock and prepare inventory reports.
Maintain a clean, secure, organised store and ensure compliance with company procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in storekeeping, inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related role.
Experience within the transport, logistics, fleet management, automotive, or workshop environment is an advantage.
Experience managing spare parts, automotive components, tools, and consumables will be an added advantage.
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Good inventory and stock control skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good record-keeping and documentation skills.
Ability to identify and reconcile stock discrepancies.
Good knowledge of storekeeping and warehouse practices.
