Job Purpose
The Sales and Distribution Intern will support the sales and distribution team in driving product sales, maintaining customer relationships, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring products reach customers efficiently. The role provides practical experience in sales operations, distribution, customer service, and market development.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the sales team with identifying and contacting potential customers.
Support daily sales activities, including order taking, follow-ups, and customer enquiries.
Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with customers, retailers, distributors, and other business partners.
Support the preparation of sales reports, quotations, invoices, and other sales documentation.
Monitor customer orders and coordinate with the distribution team to ensure timely deliveries.
Assist with stock monitoring and reporting of low-stock or fast-moving products.
Conduct basic market research to identify customer needs, competitor activity, and new sales opportunities.
Assist with promotional activities, product launches, and sales campaigns.
Update customer and sales information accurately in company systems or spreadsheets.
Help resolve customer queries and escalate complaints where necessary.
Support the team with general administrative and operational tasks.
Requirements
Currently studying toward, or recently completed, a qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
Basic computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
Good organisational and time-management abilities.
A positive, proactive, and willing-to-learn attitude.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A valid driver's licence may be advantageous, depending on the role.
