MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Qualified Diesel Mechanic - essential
Minimum 6 years' relevant experience - essential
Strong diesel mechanical, hydraulic and fault-finding skills
Earthmoving/heavy equipment experience preferred
Previous workshop foreman, management or leadership experience preferred
Must be computer literate
Valid driver's licence
Must be able to communicate in English and isiZulu
Strong leadership and staff-management ability
Good planning, organisation and maintenance administration skills
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Manage the day-to-day running of the workshop
Supervise and allocate work to workshop staff
Oversee repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
Minimise machine downtime
Manage service schedules and maintenance records
Control parts usage and workshop costs
Coordinate breakdown repairs
Report on fleet condition and upcoming maintenance requirements
