Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate daily deployment of Self-Propelled Harvesters to ensure maximum harvesting efficiency and timely field operations.
Develop and implement Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) programs to minimize downtime and maintain optimal fleet performance.
Monitor equipment performance, fuel consumption, and maintenance records, and prepare performance and cost reports for management.
Conduct root cause analysis on mechanical failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
Supervise workshop staff and mechanics, allocate tasks, and provide technical guidance to ensure quality repairs and servicing.
Ensure harvesting equipment is properly calibrated, including blade sharpness and operational settings, to support high-quality production.
Work closely with procurement and stores teams to ensure availability of essential spare parts, tools, and workshop supplies.
Enforce strict health, safety, and compliance standards within the workshop and during field operations.
Key Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in maintenance of heavy plant or agricultural machinery.
Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and heavy machinery travel mechanisms.
Proven experience supervising workshop teams or technical staff in a production or agricultural environment.
Proficiency in MS Excel and basic reporting tools for maintenance tracking and operational analysis.
