Job Description
Supervising the Yard activities such as container sorting and Truck washing so that internal customers receive correct quantity and quality materials at the right time in a cost effective manner. The successful candidate will report to the Operations Manager.

Competencies
Distribution/Warehousing/Fleet principles:
Demonstrates a sound understanding of warehousing and distribution principles when supervising and monitoring activities in the yard.
Directs drivers in respect of where to offload empties and pallets
Directs drivers in respect to where to park trucks for washing
Coaches team members on sorting and truck washing principles
Identifies and rectifies out of line warehousing and distribution issues.
SHE policies and procedures:
Enforces adherence to SHE policies and procedures in accordance with the OHS Act
Performs inspections to identify safety hazards and to determine conformance of the work area to SHE regulations
Communicates important SHE issues to team
Reports safety hazards, accidents and incidents to maximise safe working conditions.

Skills, Experience & Education Qualifications and Experience
Grade 12
2 years warehousing experience in a FMCG environment
Good understanding of Health and Safety related legislation
