Summary
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Yoruba Teacher to teach students how to read, write, speak, and understand the Yoruba language language while promoting appreciation for Yoruba culture traditions, literature, and values.
The ideal candidate will create engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and help learners develop strong communication skills in Yoruba.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver effective Yoruba language lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
Teach students Yoruba grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, and writing skills.
Introduce learners to Yoruba history, customs, proverbs, literature, and cultural practices.
Prepare lesson notes, instructional materials, assignments, and examinations.
Assess and monitor students' academic progress through tests, quizzes, and class activities.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
Encourage classroom participation and create an inclusive learning environment.
Organize cultural events, language clubs, debates, and drama presentations related to Yoruba heritage.
Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress when necessary.
Stay updated on teaching strategies and curriculum changes.
Qualifications
