Key Responsibility Areas:
Manages the planning, implementation of procedures and monitoring, investigation and reporting of Road Repairs (Maintenance and Construction works), Storm Water Maintenance; Lines and Signs operations (Painted Road Marking and Pavement Road Signs), canal cleaning operations and milling and replacing operations.
Plans, prioritises and schedules roads and storm-water project and maintenance work.
Plans, co-ordinates and controls tasks/activities associated with controlling personnel performance, productivity and discipline.
Monitors and evaluates progress with regards to repair, construction, installation and maintenance type work (e.g. construction of asphalt/gravel roads, installation of underground pipelines, kerb-laying, lines and signs, etc.).
Co-ordinates and controls compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Performs specific administrative tasks/activities associated with the updating and maintaining records/information related to the activities/operations at the Depot.
Essential Requirements:
Trade Certificate (Civil or Construction).
Valid motor vehicle driving license.
5 years relevant post trade test experience.
Computer Literacy.
