Account Officer

Role Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Account Officer to manage accounts payable and receivable, maintain accurate financial records, and support timely reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong reconciliation skills, sound knowledge of accounting controls, and preferably experience in the food and beverage sector. Key Responsibilities Process supplier invoices, payment requests, and approved payments accurately and on time. Raise customer invoices, monitor receivables, and follow up on outstanding balances. Reconcile supplier, customer, bank, and ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly. Maintain complete supporting documents and accurate entries in the accounting system. Prepare ageing reports, payment schedules, cash-flow updates, and other routine financial reports. Support month-end closing, audits, inventory-related reconciliations, and compliance with internal controls. Requirements Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Two to three years of relevant accounting experience, particularly in accounts payable and receivable. Experience in the food and beverage sector is preferred. Good knowledge of reconciliations, bookkeeping, accounting controls, and financial reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Strong attention to detail, organisation, integrity, and ability to meet deadlines.
