We are looking for a detail‑oriented and experienced Accountant with hospital/healthcare industry experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with healthcare financial regulations, and supporting overall financial operations within the hospital.


Key Responsibilities


Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including daily postings and reconciliations.
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
Oversee billing processes, patient invoices, HMO/insurance reconciliations, and payment tracking.
Ensure proper documentation of financial transactions in line with hospital policies.
Assist with payroll preparation and statutory deductions (PAYE, pension, NHF).
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Support budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting activities.
Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with internal controls.
Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to streamline financial processes.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional accounting standards.


Qualifications & Requirements


Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Professional certification (ICAN/ACCA) or part‑qualification is an advantage.
Minimum of 2 years accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a hospital or healthcare facility.
Strong understanding of hospital billing systems, HMOs, and health insurance processes.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, or hospital management systems).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills.
High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
