The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising accounting processes, reviewing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and supporting management with reliable financial information.

Key Responsibilities


Supervise and coordinate daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and petty cash management.
Review and authorize payment vouchers and ensure completeness of supporting documentation.
Oversee accurate posting of invoices, receipts, and payments into the accounting system.
Prepare and review supplier statements and follow up on outstanding balances.
Maintain and review cashbooks and support daily cash position monitoring.
Perform and review weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
Monitor invoicing, collections, and customer account balances.
Prepare monthly expense schedules, summaries, and management reports.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including VAT and other applicable taxes.
Maintain proper filing and archiving of financial documents.
Implement and monitor internal financial controls and procedures
Provide guidance and supervision to junior finance staff.
Liaise with external auditors, consultants, and other stakeholders as required.


Qualifications, Experience & Skills


Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA (K) or equivalent professional qualification is an added advantage.
Minimum of 2 - 3 years' relevant accounting experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity and ability to work with minimal supervision.
