About the Role
The Quality Coordinator serves as the final checkpoint between workshop operations and vehicle release, ensuring all electric vehicles meet quality and safety standards. The role requires strong mechanical expertise and attention to detail. It supports customer-focused insights, product improvement, and operational efficiency while linking technicians, management, and customers to ensure timely, high-quality service delivery.
Key responsibilities
Product Quality Checks: Inspect and test all vehicles leaving the workshop to confirm repairs meet company standards and safety requirements; ensure proper diagnostic and repair procedures have been followed before release.
Documentation & Record-Keeping: Complete and maintain all QC checklists and job card documentation; ensure every job is signed off before vehicle handover; report deviations promptly.
Repeat Issue Tracking: Monitor and report repeat faults; support investigations to identify root causes and eliminate recurrence through feedback to technicians and supervisors.
Technician Training Support: Contribute to monthly QC-based training sessions; highlight areas of improvement for teams based on QC findings and quality data.
Process Compliance: Verify that workshop repair and testing protocols are strictly followed; escalate any non-compliance or negligence immediately.
Safety & Quality Enforcement: Ensure vehicles meet electrical, mechanical, and safety standards; enforce the use of PPE and halt any unsafe releases until issues are resolved.
Recalls & Product Adjustments: Support coordination of recall activities, welding checks, and follow-up adjustments as guided by the Quality Coordinator.
Satellite Garages Audit: Participate in audits and reviews of HQ and satellite garages to assess adherence to QC processes and reduce repeat issues.
Customer Support (Technical Input): Provide quality feedback for customer complaints related to workmanship or product safety; ensure resolutions are handled within agreed KPIs.
Process Improvement: Participate in service experimentation and quality improvement initiatives; share ideas and insights for enhancing product reliability.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with technicians, Coordinators, and Customer teams to ensure efficient service delivery and smooth communication flow.
Administrative Support: Prepare and submit periodic QC and quality performance reports; support audit preparation and data tracking for continuous improvement.
Minimum requirements:
Diploma in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering (Electrical or EV specialization is an advantage).
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in vehicle maintenance, assembly, or quality inspection in automotive sectors.
Strong analytical, diagnostic, and reporting skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Proficient in using QC checklists, digital inspection tools, and maintenance management systems.
High attention to detail, discipline, and ethical work conduct.
Familiarity with the electric vehicle industry is a plus.
