Key Performance Areas

Key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

Preventative Maintenance


Undertake any preventative maintenance Instructed Upon according to the planned maintenance schedule as issued by the team Leader
Fully complete documentation in terms of inspection lists and relevant Sop's
Where there is no Sop 's a conventional or an RPWP must be filled
Schedule time between Maintenance and Production for preventative maintenance to be done on a weekly basis
Assist in Predictive Maintenance using tools like Thermal imaging, Vibration analysis and Oil Sampling.
Testing and Measurements on Critical Equipment's to verify if the equipment is operating within Safe and Efficient parameters.
Conduct plant start up and close out inspections


Corrective Maintenance


Ensure availability for standby-duty and attend to electrical breakdowns
Prioritize on urgent Maintenance break-down
Attend to breakdown report and give feedback to customer and team leader, if necessary, order parts
Electrical motors and control panels fault-finding
Keep adequate stock of the critical spares


New Installations


Obtain drawings from the Drawing office and obtain Certificates of compliance from inspector/contractor
Undertake ad hoc electrical installations (construction) as required
Liaise with the drawing office to ensure that the drawings are updated to standard
Collaboration with other Trades and Engineering Department to ensure smooth project execution.


SHEQ Managed


Adhere to all safety aspects of NTP.
Do Lebo observations according to NTP schedule.
Safety Protocols follow established Safety Procedures to prevent Injury and incidents
Quality Workmanship ensure repairs are done to high standard, Meeting relevant Codes and Regulations


Qualifications and Experience:


N4 Qualified electrician (Trade tested)
1 to 2 years' work experience as a artisan electrician
