Key Performance Areas
Key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:
Preventative Maintenance
Receive weekly schedule of planned maintenance actions from line manager
Plan and prioritise work during the week, using inputs from line manager as a guide
Use planning document NTP-PLN 5000 as appropriate
Check remotely SCADA (PLC) systems in other facilities via computer (Building Management System)
Complete inspections of Instrumentation equipment
Complete preventative maintenance Instrumentation equipment
Complete performance testing Instrumentation equipment
Complete calibration Instrumentation equipment
Conduct plant start up and close out inspections
Corrective Maintenance
Receive corrective maintenance request via COSWIN system from line manager
Assess the work, evaluate what needs to be done in terms of inventory, fabrication, obtaining resources
Speak to requester to receive additional inputs
Repair, optimize and expand camera systems as required
Interact with other engineering shops as required
Apply technical knowledge and experience to trouble shoot, repair and complete the job cost-effectively on time
Sign-off on completion and obtain requester sign-off
Return sign-off sheet to line manager for updating COSWIN
Monitor/Order Stock
Maintain adequate stock levels of items regularly used
Monitor levels, and order components through line manager
Complete relevant administration.
Initiate Fabrication of Once-Off Components
Liaise with engineering shop to produce drawing given specifications
Liaise with appropriate engineering shops as required
Initiate production of once-off components by providing specifications and discussing technical requirements
Use the component as appropriate to complete maintenance routines
SHEQ Managed
Adhere to all safety aspects of NTP.
Do Lebo observations according to NTP schedule.
Safety Protocols follow established Safety Procedures to prevent Injury and incidents
Quality Workmanship ensure repairs are done to high standard, Meeting relevant Codes and Regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
N4 and Trade tested artisan/Mechanician in Instrumentation
1 to 2 years' work experience as an artisan Mechanical in Instrumentation
