About the role
Medirite Plus Carnival City is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Assistant Branch Manager to support the daily operations of the store.
The successful candidate will assist in driving sales, maintaining operational standards, managing stock, leading teams, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
What you'll do
You'll be required to:
Support the achievement of sales and profitability targets.
Manage and monitor sales performance across all product categories, including health and beauty ranges.
Ensure effective stock control, replenishment, and stock availability.
Minimise stock losses, shrinkage, wastage, and markdowns.
Execute pricing updates, promotional activities, and merchandising standards.
Maintain excellent housekeeping, health and safety, and compliance standards.
Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer queries effectively.
Supervise, coach, and develop team members to achieve performance objectives.
Assist with reporting, stock management, and operational planning.
What you bring
Qualification:
Grade 12 (Matric).
Experience:
Minimum 2 years' retail supervisory or retail management experience.
Experience in stock control, merchandising, and sales management.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Computer literacy and administrative proficiency.
Willingness to work retail trading hours.
Desirable: Experience within a pharmacy, FMCG, health and beauty, or retail environment.
