Medirite is seeking a motivated Financial Assistant to deliver precise administrative and transactional support within a dynamic Finance team, ideal for candidates aiming to enhance financial acumen and operational expertise.
This role demands proficiency in financial data management, attention to detail and the ability to operate efficiently under tight deadlines, contributing to accurate financial reporting and compliance.

This position offers a practical foundation in finance operations, utilising key skills such as bookkeeping, invoicing, reconciliations and use of ERP software within a fast-paced retail environment.


What you'll do

You will be required to:


Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Finance team to ensure smooth operational workflows.
Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of debtors and creditors accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
Accurately capture and record income and expenditure transactions in the financial system.
Maintain and organise financial records along with all supporting documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Support account reconciliations and promptly investigate and resolve discrepancies with suppliers and vendors.
Contribute to the preparation of financial and management reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
Respond to routine financial queries effectively, escalating complex issues to senior team members as appropriate.
Collaborate with other Finance team members to provide assistance and support as required.
Perform additional finance-related duties as assigned to support the overall effectiveness of the Finance department.


What you bring

Qualifications:


Matric
Diploma or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field


Experience:


1+ year of relevant working experience.
Experience working on SAP (desirable)


Skills and Competencies:


Computer literacy, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations.
Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to learn and develop.
Proactive, reliable and able to work effectively within a team.
