Requirements :
Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse in General, Psychiatry & Midwifery.
Current Registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse. A minimum of 8 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. At least 3 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/ recognisable experience at management level in quality assurance unit.
A qualification in Health Services Management / Nursing Administration from a recognised institution will be an added advantage. Extensive knowledge in customer care service program.
Relevant knowledge and understanding of legislative framework applicable to practice in public health facility. Computer literacy in MS Office Package (MS Word, Ms. Excel, and MS. PowerPoint). Presentation skills.
Competencies: The applicant must have Operational Management skills. Complete knowledge of the National Core Standard for Health Establishment. A valid driver's licence.
Duties :
Coordinate reporting investigations and management of complaints and serious adverse events, incidences in the hospital. Participate in selected clinical audits. Provide initiative to improve customer care in a user-friendly environment. Advocate for and ensure the promotion of National Core (NORMS) Standards and Ideal Hospital Framework.
Conduct client satisfaction surveys and share results with the relevant stakeholders. Ensure that monthly internal audits are conducted in patients care units in compliance with National Core Standards.
