About the Client:

Our client, a reputable Construction company, is actively looking for an Assistant Team Leader - Operations will support the Team Leader in coordinating and overseeing plant operations, ensuring optimal equipment performance, safety, and productivity. The role requires hands-on experience in quarry, mining, or heavy industrial operations, with a focus on equipment uptime, shift coordination, and operational efficiency.

Duties & Responsibilities:


Assist the Team Leader in planning, organizing, and supervising daily production activities.
Coordinate and monitor shift operations to ensure targets and quality standards are met.
Oversee machinery and equipment operation, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
Support preventive maintenance scheduling and liaise with maintenance teams for timely repairs.
Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Supervise and motivate operators, ensuring adherence to shift schedules and work procedures.
Track and record operational data including production output, downtime, and resource utilization.
Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance plant efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Ensure safe working practices are followed and participate in regular safety briefings.
Assist in training and developing machine operators and support staff.
Prepare and submit shift and performance reports to the Team Leader or Plant Manager.


Qualifications & Experience


Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
10 years and above of relevant experience in quarry, mining, or heavy industrial operations.
Mechanical graduates from NYS are highly preferred.
Strong people supervision and shift coordination skills (supervisory experience is an added advantage).
Solid understanding of plant uptime, maintenance coordination, safety compliance, and production target achievement.
Sound technical knowledge of heavy industrial machinery and equipment operations.
Ability to interpret and apply operational procedures and maintenance schedules.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with plant or maintenance management systems is an added advantage.
