Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer (Faculty of Education: Department of Educational Leadership & Management) at University of Johannesburg

Responsibilities:


Contribute to curriculum development and teaching across online programmes (Honours, Master's, and Advanced Diploma in School Leadership and Management).
Teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels through contact, blended, and online modes.
Supervise postgraduate students (Honours, Master's, and Doctoral levels).
Lead and participate in national and international research projects.
Secure research funding through grant applications and partnerships.
Contribute to departmental activities, including academic administration, research initiatives, short course development, and marketing.
Engage in community outreach and professional development initiatives for education leaders at school, district, and system levels


Minimum requirements

Minimum requirements for Associate Professor:


PhD/DEd/DPhil in Education Leadership and Management.
Minimum of 5 years' teaching experience in higher education.
At least 3 years' teaching experience at school level.
Sustained and strong record of DHET-accredited research output in local and international journals/books.
Demonstrated experience in blended and/or fully online teaching.
Proven track record in leading research and/or leadership development projects.
Experience in postgraduate supervision at both Master's and Doctoral level.
NRF rating or research output commensurate with NRF standards.
Evidence of securing external research funding.


Minimum requirements for Senior Lecturer:


PhD/DEd/DPhil in Education Leadership and Management.
Minimum of 3 years' teaching experience in higher education.
At least 3 years' teaching experience at school level.
Strong record of DHET-accredited research output in national and international journals/books.
Experience in blended and/or fully online teaching.
Experience in postgraduate supervision at Master's and/or Doctoral level.
