Job Purpose
To diagnose, repair, install, and maintain electrical and electronic systems in company vehicles and equipment, ensuring they operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with set specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and testing tools.
Repair and maintain vehicle wiring systems, electrical circuits, and electronic components.
Install, inspect, and repair starters, alternators, batteries, lighting systems, and ignition systems.
Troubleshoot faults in electronic control systems, sensors, ECUs, ABS, airbags, and other onboard electronics.
Perform preventive maintenance inspections on electrical systems.
Interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and electrical schematics.
Replace defective electrical components and ensure proper system functionality.
Test repaired systems to verify operational safety and reliability.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures.
Maintain workshop tools and diagnostic equipment in good working condition.
Support breakdown recovery and emergency repairs when required.
Collaborate with mechanics and other technicians to resolve complex vehicle issues
Qualifications
Diploma in Automotive Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
Valid driving license'
Training in vehicle diagnostics is an added advantage.

Experience
Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Auto Electrician.
Experience working on light commercial vehicles, heavy commercial vehicles.
