Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test medical equipment and devices, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.
Modify and customize existing medical equipment to improve functionality and efficiency.
Install, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Provide technical support and training to healthcare personnel on the use and maintenance of medical equipment.
Conduct research and collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and address equipment-related problems.
Evaluate new technologies and equipment for potential integration into healthcare facilities.
Develop and implement quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Manage and document equipment inventory, including maintenance schedules and service records.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and technicians, to optimize equipment utilization and patient care.
Stay informed about advancements in biomedical engineering and healthcare technology through continuous learning and professional development.
Perform any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements
Bachelors of biomedical engineering, or related field from a recognized institution.
AMEK - Association of Medical Engineers.
Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a biomedical field or related field.
