Biomedical Engineer - Medical Equipment Installation & Support at Surgi -X Health Solutions Ltd

Surgi -X Health Solutions Ltd
July 17, 2026
Full-time
On-site
We are hiring a Biomedical Engineer to own the technical delivery of every hospital we equip: installation, commissioning, maintenance, and ongoing technical support of surgical and medical equipment. Your work is the moment a deal becomes real for the client — the speed and quality of your installations directly determine whether hospitals adopt, trust, and keep using what we deliver. This is a field-facing role for an engineer who is as comfortable talking to a theatre nurse as to a procurement officer.

What You Will Do

Install, commission, and validate medical and surgical equipment at hospital sites, ensuring full compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards
Carry out planned preventive maintenance, calibration, and repairs across the installed base; keep equipment uptime high
Train hospital clinical and technical staff on safe operation, care, and first-line troubleshooting of installed equipment
Provide responsive technical support — on-site and remote — and manage escalations through to resolution
Conduct pre-installation site assessments: power, space, utilities, and infrastructure readiness
Maintain accurate service records, installation reports, and equipment documentation
Monitor consumables usage and equipment performance at customer sites and report insights to the commercial team
Liaise with equipment manufacturers and suppliers on warranties, spare parts, and technical updates
Support demonstrations and evaluations with technical setup and expertise

What We Are Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field
2+ years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining, or repairing medical equipment — operating theatre, endoscopy/laparoscopy, imaging, or critical-care equipment preferred
Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills; able to read schematics and service manuals
Understanding of medical device safety standards and hospital biomedical practices
Excellent communication skills: you can explain a technical issue to a surgeon, a nurse, and an administrator in language each understands
Organized and self-directed; comfortable managing multiple hospital sites and travel schedules
Registration with relevant professional bodies (e.g., COREN) is an advantage; manufacturer service training/certifications are a plus

What We Offer

Hands-on work with modern surgical technology across a growing hospital network
Manufacturer training and professional development opportunities in china
Real impact: every installation you complete is a theatre that works and patients who get treated
