ROLE PURPOSE
The Business Analyst is responsible for eliciting, analysing, validating, documenting, and managing business requirements across multiple stakeholders. The role bridges business needs and technology delivery by translating operational and functional requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.
The role requires a strong techno functional orientation, with an understanding of systems architecture and solution design, to support the delivery of technology enabled change within a regulated financial services environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with business stakeholders and product teams to understand and document functional and non functional requirements.
Conduct requirements elicitation, analysis, validation, and verification to confirm requirements are complete, consistent, traceable, feasible, and testable.
Collaborate with solution architects and technology specialists to contribute to low level solution, process, and product designs and participate in design and architecture reviews.
Work with internal delivery teams and external partners to support system configurations, customisations, and module implementations in line with approved specifications.
Participate in the development and review of test scripts and scenarios across all test types and levels.
Support business teams during system testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, and post deployment validation activities.
Support release planning activities by aligning delivery priorities with business needs and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
Maintain requirements traceability and track requirement status throughout the project lifecycle.
Build and manage effective working relationships across business and technology teams and contribute to the prioritisation of initiatives based on business needs.
Review current deployment approaches and identify opportunities to improve delivery models for new and existing solutions.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Professional certifications such as ITIL Foundation, Certified Business Analysis Professional, or TOGAF are an added advantage.
Project management or agile certifications such as PRINCE II Practitioner, AgilePM, PMI ACP, or Certified Scrum Master are desirable.
Minimum of three years progressive experience in information technology roles.
At least two years experience in business analysis or solution design within complex system environments.
Experience supporting IT project delivery within regulated or high risk environments is desirable.
Exposure to emerging technologies such as digital platforms, cloud based solutions, or microservices is an added advantage.
Experience working in a fast paced agile delivery environment is desirable.
